Welcome to our information about Baptisms, also known as a Christening – it’s the same thing!
Thank you for considering one of our churches for this important Baptism Service in your family’s life. Alternatively you may consider a Thanksgiving Service for the birth of a child with Baptism later in their life. What to do next
To help you and your family to organise the Baptism Service please complete either the Child Baptism Enquiry Form or the Adult Baptism Enquiry Form with as much detail as possible. Scroll to the end of the form and click the Submit Enquiry button. One of the ministry team will be in touch to arrange to meet you and to help you plan the day.
Confirming the date of the baptism service
Baptisms are at 12.30pm on a Sunday unless the family opt for the baptism to take place within a Sunday service. All baptism families must have a link with the church where they’d like their child to be baptised. Sowing Seeds is a service held twice a month for families with young children suitable for baptism families to be welcomed into the church by the ministry team and the church family . All baptism families will be invited to attend a Baptism Preparation discussion with the ministry team before a date for the service can be confirmed.
