Weddings in the BCI Benefice

Thank you for considering one of the churches in the BCI Benefice for your wedding. This information will also help you if you would like a Thanksgiving Service or a Marriage Blessing.

What to do next

To help you and your family to organise the Wedding we recommend you get in touch with the Benefice Office by completing the Wedding Enquiry Form. We advise you to talk to us well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Are we eligible to get married in the BCI Benefice?

The quick answer is Yes for:
• Those who are resident in the parish. If you are not sure if you live within the parish boundary you can check using your post code.
• Those who are on the electoral role of the church
• Those who can demonstrate a ‘qualifying link’ with the parish.

Once the wedding date has been agreed the banns of marriage need to be read out in church. Please complete the Banns Enquiry Form and a member of the ministry team will be in contact with you.
